Job Details: Are you an experienced Mechanical Estimator with a passion for the Construction industry, particularly in the HVAC sector? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you. We are seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented, and highly skilled Estimator (MechanicalHVAC) to join our dynamic team. This position will involve working on a variety of projects, from small-scale residential to large-scale commercial. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating, managing, and executing cost estimates and proposals for our HVAC systems. Responsibilities:
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates by analyzing plans and specifications and performing quantity take-offs for HVAC systems.
  • Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes to ensure they meet the project specifications and scope.
  • Work closely with project managers and engineers to develop and refine cost estimates.
  • Participate in the proposal process, including attending pre-bid meetings, site visits, and analyzing the scope of work.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing.
  • Evaluate project risks, identify potential cost uncertainties, and provide analysis for negotiations and decision making.
  • Maintain current information on industry trends, material prices, and labor costs.
  • Assist in the preparation of contracts, project budgets, and schedules.
  • Collaborate with the project team to ensure all aspects of the project are accounted for in the estimate.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical estimating, particularly in the HVAC sector.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical and HVAC systems, construction methods, materials, and industry regulations.
  • Proficiency in estimating software and MS Office Suite.
  • Exceptional analytical and mathematical skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Solid understanding of construction safety regulations and best practices.
  • Capable of working in a fast-paced environment and adapting to changing priorities.
  • Professional certification in estimating or a related field is a plus.
