Job Description

Primary Purpose

The Internal Wholesaler will meet with advisors, support staff, and clients to support the product sales process of life insurance, annuity, long term care (LTC), and disability insurance (DI). The role is responsible for developing and maintaining existing relationships as well as identifying and acquiring new business to meet or exceed sales goals. This position will also create and provide business plans, sales goals, training, and support for producers. The position will partner and support the Senior Life Strategist and the Senior Annuity Strategist to deliver a VIP customer experience.

Job Responsibilities / Tasks

  • Act as internal wholesaler for all Life, Annuity, LTC, DI and Linked Benefit sales and case design.
  • Provide insurance illustration and case design support to sales and concierge teams.
  • Support advisors to grow their practice through developing business plans, producer training, prospecting support, point of sale work, sales tactics, and coaching.
  • Meet or exceed the established department metrics, in collaboration with insurance wholesalers.
  • Develop and grow business relationships with the goal of expanding markets and increasing sales.
  • Cultivate strong advisor and carrier relationships to deliver a VIP customer service experience.
  • Develop marketing strategy to drive brand awareness through proactive outreach, webinars, and marketing campaigns.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive knowledge of the product lines. Consistently educate advisors with annuity product solutions, annuity business trends, and stay current on processes and industry best practices.
  • Leverage customer resource management (CRM) platform to enter, organize, track and report client data.
  • Provide metrics to generate reports to track activities, progress and develop strategies.
  • Onboard advisors to leverage AdvisorNet Insurance (ANI) platform.
  • Consistently evaluate market trends, staying current on industry knowledge and best practices, to develop and implement a personal business and marketing plan.
  • Other special projects and duties as assigned.

Job Specifications

  • 3-5 years’ experience in the insurance or financial services industry, preferred.
  • MN Life and Health licensed or willingness to obtain within 6 months of employment, required.
  • FINRA 6 and 63, or willingness to obtain within 6 months of employment, preferred.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Life, Annuity, LTC, DI and Linked Benefit Insurance.
  • Salesforce and other CRM experience, preferred.
  • Familiarity with carrier illustration software, preferred.
  • Knowledge of SEC and state advisory regulations, preferred.
  • Personable, approachable with a positive attitude in providing service excellence.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects; prioritize, triage, and resolve conflict effectively.
  • Ability to work independently with effective time management, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong and professional verbal and written communication skills. Active listener.
  • Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition and grammar.
