An Optician is trained to dispense and fit glasses and contacts, working from prescriptions written by Optometrists and Ophthalmologists. We seek a skilled, energetic, patient-focused Optician/Eyewear Consultant to join our outstanding team at Ophthalmic Associates located in Johnstown, PA . Join a team of physicians and medical staff who provide full-service medical and surgical care, including routine eye care, retina, glaucoma, and corneal disease. We Believe in Rewarding Excellence! Educate and recommend specific lenses, lens coatings, and frames to suit patient needs.
Ordering frames and lenses from vendors.
Assisting with frame adjustments and repairs.
Collecting payments and entering charges and payments into the Practice Management system.
Dispense patient glasses, contact lens orders, and frames orders.
Assist patients in selecting frames according to style and color, coordinating frames with facial and eye measurements, and optical prescriptions.

At least two years of experience in the optical field is required.
At least two years of experience working as an Optician is preferred.
Excellent customer service skills.
Sales experience is a PLUS!
