JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: The Department of Food Science at Penn State University is looking to hire 2-3 students to help with a USDA project under the direction of Dr. Yi Zhang.
Duties include:
•Conduct part of research projects in the area of food chemistry, food processing and engineering, and value-addition to food byproducts
•Collect and analyze data from ongoing research projects
•Prepare figures and tables. Write research reports
•Order and purchase research supplies and materials as needed
•Maintain electronic files of protocols, equipment manuals, and supplies lists
•Oversee the day-to-day operations and ensure the efficient functioning of lab
