Women's Health Connecticut is seeking a full-time, Practice Manager for our fast-paced Ob/Gyn office in Waterbury, CT!

Position : Practice Manager

Employment : Full-time, 40 hours per week

Schedule : Monday- Friday, 8:00a- 5:00p

Job Overview: The Practice Manager is a key member of the management team, which includes partner physicians, clinical staff, and operation management and can be across several locations. The Practice Manager position requires progressive management experience in a medical office setting. The practice manager is responsible for medical practice administration and/or quality improvement initiatives in Obstetrics/Gynecology.

The Practice Manager is responsible for the overall operations, development and success of the practice. In this important role, the Practice Manager will act as an information resource and ambassador to patients, the general public, physicians and staff.

Position Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Effectively communicate with physicians, health insurance representatives, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Interview, hire and train new staff in accordance with HR guidelines.
  • Address staff issues and conduct regular performance review in accordance with HR guidelines.
  • Manage daily staffing to ensure optimal operation of the practice in conjunction with the Human Resource Manager.
  • Supervise the selection and ordering of supplies.
  • Regularly review productivity and make staffing adjustments as needed,
  • Monitor and approve timecards and track licensure requirements for staff.
  • Ensure the business needs of the practice are met and actively work to recruit new patients.
  • Responsible for executing projects/changes as directed by the physicians and/or the organization.
  • Ensure compliance with all government guidelines.
  • Perform internal compliance audits.
  • Responsible for facilities and premises management.
  • May assist in scheduling appointments and maintaining medical records.
  • Develop and implement office policies and procedures.
  • Provide educational material for patients.
  • Manages practice expenses within budgetary guidelines.

Requirements

  • Experience in medical office management, preferably in an OB/GYN practice.
  • Experience in managing staff and operations across multiple site locations.
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Solid understanding of medical office billing processes preferred.
  • Proficiency with EMR systems and software applications, including Microsoft Office Suite
  • Exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
