Production Coordinator - $55K-$65K

Our client, one of the largest manufacturers of energy-related equipment for government and commercial customers, is looking for a Production Coordinator in York, PA. They are a major domestic supplier to the Commercial Nuclear Industry, Department of Energy and Defense, as well as NASA, Naval shipyards, and other industrial and government customers.

What will you be doing?

• Maintains progress of assigned orders through the plant in accordance with requirements indicated on production schedules.
• Documents progress on tracking sheets for review at the Production Control meetings.
• Directs delivery of materials from storerooms or other storaging areas, as required.
• Expedites movement of components from one department to another to assure that production schedules are maintained.
• Interfaces with production supervisors and project engineers relative to special handling, availability of materials, changes in promised dates, etc.
• Anticipates probable schedule delays and takes action to avoid occurrence
• Expedites materials, parts, tooling, and manufacturing software in order to maintain production schedules.
• Interfaces among all departments in the coordination and resolution of shop work station loading conflicts along with the location and moving of needed material, parts and tooling as required.
• Maintains part serial numbers, NCM routing listings and upgrade books for manufacturing and materials on assigned orders.
• Expediting all departments, as required, to achieve on time shop performance.
• Limited range of Document Control Library.

• Positive, can-do attitude
• High School Diploma
• Must have working knowledge of standard shipping practices, freight carrier guidelines, shipping manifests and supporting government documents, government bills of lading (GBL’s).
• Must have experience using and accurately reading a tape measure.
• Excellent computer skills required.
• Must have a general knowledge of ERP Systems and Microsoft applications such as WORD, Excel, and Outlook.
