At And Still We Rise, we create healing spaces for all, working to dismantle oppressive systems and liberate marginalized people through culturally affirming psychotherapy, consultation, and life-coaching services. As a liberation-focused practice, our providers support clients in exploring how marginalization and oppression impact their lives while fostering empowerment and community engagement.

We are seeking a dedicated Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (NP) Prescriber with a Massachusetts license to join our mission-driven team as an independent contractor. This role is integral to providing comprehensive mental health care in alignment with ASWR's values and mission.

Responsibilities:

• Provide psychiatric evaluations and ongoing medication management to a diverse client population.
• Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, emphasizing culturally affirming and holistic care approaches.
• Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications, ensuring safe and effective use in managing mental health conditions.
• Maintain clear, timely, and accurate clinical documentation in compliance with ASWR's policies and state regulations.
• Collaborate with ASWR's therapists, consultants, and clinical leadership to provide integrated, client-centered care.
• Stay current with advancements in psychiatric care, including best practices for liberation-focused and trauma-informed care.
• Attend periodic virtual meetings with the clinical team to discuss client care, practice updates, and collaborative strategies.

Requirements:

• Education: Master's or Doctorate degree in Nursing (MSN/DNP) with a specialty in Psychiatry.
• Licensure: Active and unrestricted Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner license in Massachusetts.
• Experience:
  • At least 2 years of experience providing psychiatric care, including medication management.
  • Experience working with diverse populations and a commitment to culturally affirming care.
• Technology Skills: Proficient in using electronic health records (EHR) and telehealth platforms.
• Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication and collaboration abilities, with a client-centered and empathetic approach.
• Liability Insurance: Must maintain personal professional liability insurance.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with liberation-focused and trauma-informed care frameworks.
• Experience in a private practice or telehealth setting.
• Interest in contributing to ASWR's mission of dismantling oppressive systems and fostering empowerment.
