Senior Family Law Attorney (Downtown Miami, Florida) We are a growing and progressive law firm in downtown Miami, Florida looking for a senior family law attorney with at least 5-7 years of experience in Family Law, Probate, and guardianship. To be a key player on our team, you must be dedicated to excellence and hard work. As the senior attorney, you must be able to handle all aspects of family law litigation — from the inception of filing a case to closing it out completely. Everyone in our firm works together in a collaborative and cohesive way because we care about our clients and work diligently to help them as efficiently as possible. The senior attorney needs to have courtroom experience, must be able to manage clients going through a stressful time, and must manage an existing caseload along with other staff members. We need an attorney who is compassionate and thoughtful yet detail-oriented and strong because many of our clients call us when they are experiencing some of the most difficult times of their lives. As our senior attorney, you will need to willingly help other team members with any questions and concerns they may have in assisting the team and must work with them in closing out all of our family law cases. This position is more than a job for the right person; it’s a career. Salary is commensurate with skill and experience. Responsibilities:

• Preparing and reviewing Petitions for Dissolution of Marriage, Paternity, Support, Marital Settlement Agreements, Prenuptial Agreements, and various motions
• Negotiating with other attorneys preparing discovery requests and taking depositions
• Reviewing discovery and preparing cases for trial
• Handling client strategy sessions
• Meeting with experts
• Preparing for mediation and depositions
• Preparing for trial

Qualifications:

• 5-7 years of experience in practicing law in the areas of family law, probate & guardianship
• Conveys confidence in-person and on the phone
• Shows empathy to clients and puts them at ease during their difficult time
• Treats a call at 4:30 on Friday with the same care and compassion as one on Monday morning
• Demonstrates exceptional communication skills
• Is proficient in Microsoft Office and database entry
• Has inbound sales experience
• Possesses an exemplary work ethic
• Adds to the team with excellent character and desire for perfection
