Chartis Interactive is looking for SEO Lead to drive strategy, planning, and execution of SEO projects across key clients. The candidate needs to be a thought leader in developing innovative ways of improving client rankings and visibility in search engines and be able to execute and enhance the SEO/SEM marketing approach.

This role will be responsible for managing all SEO activities such as content strategy, link building, and keyword strategy to increase rankings on all major search networks and technical SEO recommendations.

Candidates should possess a thorough understanding of the search engine marketing industry, ranging from day-to-day tasks (keyword research and analysis, site audits, content audits, etc) to defining and implementing strategic components (SEO reviews, user analysis, keyword targeting models) for the clients.

Responsibilities

  • Lead SEO current-state assessments of clients' digital presence to provide future state roadmaps and recommendations targeted at improving SEO and Marketing performance.

  • Understand clients’ business objectives and align SEO strategy to meet these objectives and goals

  • Plan, manage and implement natural search engine optimization campaigns for various clients

  • Conduct extensive reviews and provide recommendations to enhance client websites’ standing in natural search listings.

  • Work with editorial and marketing teams to drive SEO in content creation and content programming

  • Identify and map keywords to guide content development strategy across multiple clients and teams

  • Provide strategic and technical directions for web analytics solution implementation

  • Assist in business development efforts by creating and presenting search engine marketing proposals for potential clients

  • Perform ongoing keyword discovery, expansion, and optimization

  • Research and implement search engine optimization recommendations

  • Develop and implement link building strategy

  • Work with clients’ development teams to ensure SEO best practices are properly implemented on newly developed and existing site code

  • Recommend changes to website architecture, content, linking, and other factors to improve SEO positions for target keywords

  • Optimizing copy and landing pages for search engine optimization

  • Perform ongoing keyword research including the discovery and expansion of keyword opportunities

  • Research and implement content recommendations for organic SEO success

Qualifications

  • Proven SEO experience, 4-6 years

  • Expert-level understanding of technical and content elements that impact organic search performance rankings

  • Proficient in explaining complex SEO assessments to client stakeholders for resource prioritization and implementation

  • In-depth experience with website analytics tools (e.g, Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, etc.)

  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript development and constraints

  • Knowledge of ranking factors and search engine algorithms

  • Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in SEO and SEM
